Favourites | June 2014

Then it came to and end.

ITS THE END OF JUNE - how did this happen? I swear these months just keep getting shorter. Soon it will be christmas and I'll be back into my jeans and jumpers.

June hasn't been an exciting month for me so very few treats for me this week, and there will be nothing new in the next two months as I have put myself on a spending ban. Saving up for a new car and a trip to Florida, although I do have another little haul to post which I haven't had chance to yet!

Make Up Revolution in Heavenly; I have been loving this colour recently. It's a beautiful light shade to be able to put in the corner of your eye for a brightening touch, or an all over light lid colour. I only use two shades so thats perfect for me. It does give a little bit of fall out BUT its the perfect amount and because this is baked and slightly glittery it showers your face in an almost highlighted glow.

Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot in Translucent; This has been a godsend. I think I might even like this more than my Rimmel one. I have found myself reaching for this perfect setting powder more and more throughout the months.

Stila Eyeliner in Midnight; I've always felt black doesn't sit right on my face, and this has definitely proved it. Browns and dark blues suit my so much better and this is the one. It's perfect and I will no doubt repurchase this over and over again, (possibly with a few more cheeky purchases).

Harry Potter Time Turner; I WENT TO THE STUDIOS!! It was the best day and this is possibly one of the best items from the memorabilia that you can buy. I've paired it with my Pirates of the Caribbean Key. Two favourites together.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Eyeliner in Onyx; I have never used a better pencil eyeliner on my waterline. This smudges but only when you want it.

Carex Moisture Plus; HAND SANITISER AND MOISTURISER - need I say more?

Macadamia Comb; apparently its infused with oil. Whether it is or not I am unsure but this has been a godsend when I comb through my wet hair.

That's all my loves for this month. Care to share yours?

New Look Haul

This month I made another naughty purchase and got myself a few summer inspired fashion bits.
My mother actually is the reason for my first purchase, she has been wearing some amazing light weight trousers and these from the Generation range were perfect for me, and not to bad on the wallet.

I then decided to get a top that could go with most things. This box cut crop top is perfect to go with my trouser and my scollop shorts below.

I am obsessed with peplum tops. I feel they just flatter my body shape in all the right places and this one is no exception. With the perfect summer floral print this was a must have.

Then my last and probably most favourite purchase the floral print dress from New Looks petite section. I absolutely love this, the materials is so silky smooth its wonderful.

Have you bought anything new recently? Let me see!

The Yearly Trip

As I said, I've recently been on a break. I went over to Ireland to visit my nan for her birthday and I thought I would share some of the scenery with you. Let me know if you prefer the pictures separate or banded together.

We visited the coal mine museum.

I was also taken sightseeing to view some of Irelands History, below is some pictures of statues for Michael Collins.

Then we went to visit a sculpture place.

Before reaching the airport we went to my favourite place - the chocolate shop!

Our flight was delayed by ten hours which was the only downfall of the trip, and the refreshment vouchers only got me this - not exactly enough for dinner.

Life Update

This is half an apology and half an exciting update.

First of all, I want to apologise for the lack of decent postings, I've been going through a lot personally and having a lot of planning sessions. I'm taking a five day break (as I'm going on a visit to see my nan) and then I will be coming back with a bang. I have planned out a whole new blog.

As of July (end of June) I will be creating some new series that I'm going to post, along with totally revamping the style. I've already updated my layout and now I'm going to update my content.

Hope you guys will stick around.

Anything you want to see? Let me know,

What's In My Bag | Airplane Edition

Here it is, the obligatory purse snap. I'm only going on a small journey over to Ireland to visit my nan but I still seem to pack a lot into my bag, this is just what I have added for now (even though I'l leaving on thursday!).

Purse with all my euros in, sunglasses, camera and case, hand sanitiser, hand held fan, notebook for jotting down any ideas that come to mind, Kindle, passport, tissues, and painkillers.

All fairly normal stuff, I will be adding my iPad and possibly my hairbrushes!

Not exactly the most exciting stuff, can you give me anything extra to take?

Birchbox | June 2014

First Look:

Contents:

Naobay Body Radiance Lotion, £14; A lemony fresh organic body lotion with shea butter, olive and avocado oils for soft skin.

Yves Rocher Sheer Botanical Lipstick, £9.90 (Introductory Price); A sheer glossy lipstick infused with moisturising cherry oil to leave lips lusciously soft.

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré, £12.99; This cult French moisturiser soothes the skin with natural ingredients and is suitable for all.

OPI Nail Laquer - The Brazillian Collection, £11.95; A vibrant polish inspired by Brazil's tropical rain forests and sandy beaches.

Silk & Honey Shea Butter Hair Mask, £55; This deeply nourishing mask protects and softens hair, while fortifying its elasticity.

Lifestyle Extra:
Birchbox Brazil-inspired Keyring; A fun flip flop keyring to brighten up your bag!

Now normally I love my birch boxes and I think they're wonderful. I like the theme for the football, eve though I despise football, but honestly this content isn't a win for birch box today. Although, thanks to my shoddy camera work, you can't see it, the lipstick is too pale and not pigmented enough for me to actually wear. French products tend to break me out and when I tried it on my hand it felt really heavy and sticky - blergh! The only thing I am excited to try is the hair mask, I will be bringing this to Ireland with me, yay!

The one thing that really annoyed me is the size of the nail varnish, considering the size of other polishes i
I've had.

All in all pretty disappointed, hopefully they'll make up for it next month.

What did you get?

Dress Code | Leggings

On days where I can't decide what I want to wear, it'll usually boil down to leggings and a dress. To me this combination is suitable for any kind of weather as you can wear cropped leggings if it's warmer and longer ones when its colder.

The dress is the perfect splash of colour for a spring/summer look and the black underlay allows it to be matched with (nearly) everything.

What have you been wearing lately?
