Dress Code | Leggings

On days where I can't decide what I want to wear, it'll usually boil down to leggings and a dress. To me this combination is suitable for any kind of weather as you can wear cropped leggings if it's warmer and longer ones when its colder. 

The dress is the perfect splash of colour for a spring/summer look and the black underlay allows it to be matched with (nearly) everything.

Crown Of Midnight

Celaena Sardothien, assassin. At least that's what her official title is. Ardalans Assassins, until she got caught. After one year in the mines of Endover, at just eighteen-year-old, she won the king’s contest to become the new royal assassin. However she is far from loyal to the King. 

This is the second instalment in the Throne Of Glass series and it just keeps getting better and better. After the first book we are left wondering what will happen to Celaena now she's under the Kings command. Will she still be seeing Elena, the first Queen of Ardalan? Will she still be with Dorian? Or will her heart find it's way to Chaol? Are there more evils lurking around the Glass Castle?

This book is an incredible tale of heartbreaking romance, friendship, violent actions and betrayals from every side imaginable, yet somehow you'll always be lost in this world that Maas has created.

It starts off by allowing us to see Celaena as she was before she was caught. The lies and deception she feels are constant companions on her journey in this book as she crosses off a lot of people on the Kings list of so called rebels and as she tends to bring him proof of the deed it's hard to believe she's gone back to her old ways. That is until she is given the next name, of someone she used to know. 

The twists and turns this book takes after the first meeting of characters is wonderful and it never fails to keep you wanting more. The romances build and flourish only to be ripped apart again, friendships get tested to almost breaking point and Celaena takes an unexpected turn to save someone she loves (which happens to be my favourite part) and becomes the bloodthirsty assassin that she in.

The cliffhanger at the end reveals so much and I can honestly say I am super excited to read Heir of Fire when it's finally released in september!

Even the secondary characters will have you completely captivated in this story. It's perfect for any fantasy lover, who, enjoy the likes of Harry Potter, Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings. It truly will pull at your heart in more ways than one and keep you wanting more. 

My Favourite Section:
"She could feel the ire and aggression rolling off the hooded guard in front of her, see how tightly, eagerly, he clutched the hilts of his twin swords. She wasn't ready for the bloodletting to end, either. She wasn't ready to give in at all.
So she knew exactly what would happen when she turned to the guard and give him a lazy grin."

My Thoughts | Kindle vs Paperback

Ever since the kindle has come out I've been having this little dilemma about which version is better. They are both good for different things but really it's all down to personal preference. I've put together a little pro's and con's list.

Kindle:
Pro's: 

• Lightweight
• Small and easy to carry around
• Can hold up to 1400 books
• Doesn't lose it words when you get it wet

Cons:

• Doesn't have that new book smell
• Doesn't look as good in a collection

Paperback:

Pro's:

• The new book smell is amazing (I know I'm a freak)
• The (albeit slightly annoying) ability to bend the spine when you get so far into a book, it's still one of the greatest things about having a book
• Some of the best books are only in paperback

Cons:

• They are ridiculously heavy when you have more than one
• They're very bulky and not easily packed in numbers
• If they get wet they can get ruined and fall apart

Well they're just some of mine, I actually swap and change between both versions as I like them both the same amount. What about you are you a Kindle lover or a Paperback reader?

Films I Want To Watch This Month

Now I don't know about you but I love going to the cinema. It's a little thing me and mother dearest do together and it's such a nice way to bond! 

Recently there are a few films that I really want to go and see, so I thought I would share this with you and see if you want to see any, or have seen any!

Maleficent -  I have been so into all the re-making of the fairytales and putting a different spin on it. I also really like Angelina as an actress so will be good to see her play something different.

22 Jump Street - Absolutely loved the 21 jump street, I mean who wouldnt love a comedy where Johnny Depp appeared in the end! It was such a well made film I can't wait to see Channing Tatum back on the screens with his hilarious partner Jonah Hill. Much Looking forward to this coming out in cinemas tomorrow.

How To Train Your Dragon 2 - If you havent seen the first one you should go watch it, and no I don't care how old you are. You're never too old for a good kids film, they're best for crappy days.

Transformers: Age of Extinction - I'm actually intrigued by this film. I mean the original trilogy is over and this is rumoured to be the start of a new one. Lets see how good this can be

Dress Code: Mint Green

Apologies for the shoddy camera work, my camera broke and I ended up having to use my phone which doesn't have a flash that works! I have recently decided that I need to shop somewhere else rather than New Look. Every time I have posted about clothes that's where they have been from but today I have delved into the world of Next.

I actually went into Next to pick up some t-shirts for my brothers birthday and ended up coming out with a top and jeans for myself as well as his presents. As soon as I saw the Mint Green jeans I knew I had to have them. I had been a little fed up with the standard blue, black and grey colours you get and thought these would be a nice thing to bring out for the spring. The pocket design was also a win, it so pretty.

Then of course, you can't buy jeans without a top and this birded beauty was just what I needed! In with the fashion as it has a colour but just open enough so I don't feel like I'm suffocating (things round my neck are not nice!).

The Disney Tag

I saw this post on another blog and I felt I just needed to do this tag. My friend +Danièlle Owen aka Lovely Chubly will also be doing this so check hers out as well.


Lets Gat Started:

1. Favourite Disney Film.

This is hard because my favourite disney film would be Pirates of the Caribbean, but I know you'll all be thinking of the animated ones of which I actually don't have a favourite one but three; Hercules, Pocahontas and Beauty and The Beast. Picking one would just be too hard and these three are perfect in different ways.

2. Favourite Disney Character

It all depends in what context! There are SO many characters now that picking one is simply impossible. But it would definitely have to be Jack Sparrow! He's just brilliant in every way. I know some of you are thinking, "That's not disney!" but he is! 

3. Favourite Disney Princess

Now we are making them simpler! Yet again it's hard to choose one but if I did, would definitely be Belle.

4. Rather be Aurora or Cinderella

Well they both have good qualities but I think it would have to be cinderella I know she starts off as a poor maid working for her step mother but she grows as a person and I think that's Important!

5. Rather be Hercules or Tarzan

Hercules! This one is a no brainer, although I'm a disney fan Tarzan doesn't really do it for me. I mean don't get me wrong living in a jungle could probably be a lot of fun but having gods for parents and super strength is a lot more awesome

6. Rather be Lizzie McGuire or Raven Baxter

Raven is much more lively and Lizzie always seemed to be so timid in the TV shows. I did love her movie though!

7. Favourite Disney Song

Definitely has to be either Zip-e-de-doo-da or I Wanna Be Like You. They're just such happy songs!

8. Which Disney Character would you choose to be your best friend

Oooft. Good Question! Without wanting to pick Jack (again) I would have to go for Hades. He's genuinely hilarious!

9. Which Disney character would be your pet

Probably Olaf! I know he's new but he's a great character!

10. Have you been to Disneyland

Yes, but that was three years ago and I want to go back as soon as possible!

Make Up Revolution

After a few days of debating whether I actually needed some more make-up I decided the super drug 3for2 offer was just too good to pass up. I had heard a lot about the new brand of make up, Make Up Revolution, and decided that I had to get my hands on a few of these goodies - which turned out to be quite a lot. These items are not hard on the wallet and at 3for2 it was hard for me to say no.

I firstly got these three items, I would have bought more but I decided I had already gone a little bit too mad. I had been looking for a good pink blush that wasn't shimmery, too bright or not enough colour and so I snagged these two along with a matte bronzer!

I used the bronzer and All I Think About Is You blush on saturday night when I went out with my friend and honestly these were amazing. At first I didn't think the blush had shown up very well but looks can be deceiving with this one. It starts off very light and then the colour starts to push through, it turned out to be the perfect pink I had been looking for. The bronzer is very easily applied and less is more with this one, I ended up having to blend it out because I applied so much!

As soon as I saw baked eyeshadow I knew i had to have the whole collection. Okay, so I didn't managed to snag them all but I did get myself six wonderful colours.

 I did use Limitless and Heavenly on my look for going out but I feel these two colours would be better suited for a more everyday look. Im very excited to try Astral out when I next wear my purple dress, it'll look great.

All these eyeshadows seem to be very easily blended and the pigmentation is pretty good (it's hard to tell when you're going on a night out). They seemed to stand the test of time as well as it was still in perfect condition once I had woken up in the morning! For only a pound you cannot go wrong with these beauties.

 Then of course I picked up four of their lipsticks. To which, again, one of them joined me on my night out. The colours are so pigmented, they're very moisturised and don't dry out your lips.

Now I had to get a statement red and this colour is simply perfect for those bold lip days.

I also got a couple of highlighters, I wanted all three colours but unfortunately the Peach Lights were sold out, (I really want this one!). However, I have got the other two and although all the hype is about the Peach, I think Pink has just enough sparkle to captivate any highlighter lover.

As you can see the Golden Lights is also a beautiful Champagne colour which I know a lot of beauty lovers go for.

Then of course I had to buy the eyeshadow palette everyone has been saying is a dupe for Naked 3. I can't afford Naked 3, (after paying rather a lot of unexpected bills) and have been lusting after those beautiful pink shades for ages. Now I have my own little version and I cannot wait to use this. Definitely a palette I will be taking with me to Ireland in a couple of days!
