New Years Eve Make-Up

Hi Guys,
First of all I just want to start by wishing you all a Happy New Year!
I thought I would share my New Year's make-up with you today! Just going to show you all the products I use and where I use them.

Base:

Olay Total Effects 7inOne Moiusturiser + Serum; I use this everyday, all over my face (cheeks, nose, forehead). It matifys my skin and allows for easy application of foundation.
Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream; I have never used this before but as it came free I decided to try this one tonight. Will let you know what I think of it!
Benefit The Porefessional Pro Balm; I use this on my nose and under my eyes just to smooth out the dry skin and fill in any gaps just to allow for no unwanted lines.

Face:
Collection Lasting Perfection Conceler, 2 Light; This conceler just covers my dark circles and imperfections perfectly. Used with Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, N51 Light Vanilla; I don't like foundations, I always feel they are too heavy on my skin and they never matched until I found this one. Used with Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.
Bourjois Healthy Balance Matte Powder, 52 Vanilla; Sets the foundation perfectly and takes away any shine you may have had. Used with Real Techniques Due Fiber Face Brush.

Eyes/Brows:
Fraulein Brow Kit; As my eyebrows are quite dark i like that the wax and shadow aren't too dark and it makes my brows more defined while keeping my brows in place and not all over the place.
Maybelline Brow Drama; Received this in my Glossy Box and I love it! Tames my flyaway brow hairs perfectly for the whole day.
W7 Eye Primer; Although the packaging has broken and I've only had this for three weeks the product itself it brilliant. I would say it's just as good as all the High End ones (even though I have tried them) This works wonders and keeps my shadow from creasing and in place. You could even wear it by itself as it's slightly pink in colour.
MAC Eyeshadow; I use the trick of selotape to create my winged/smokey eyes because I havent had mucvh practice and I dont want to ruin the rest of my face! So once I use that I then apply Grain MAC eyeshadow and apply all over my lid with a flat eyeshadow brush, then I used Satin Taupe for the wings, over the tape so I didnt get messy, and then on the middle of my lid I used a small flat eyeshadow brush to apply Cork.
MUA Eyeliner in jet black; I just apply this on my lower waterline and on the lower and upper lash lines and then I blended it with my LyDia Professional blending brush.
Collection Super Size Fat Lash Mascara, 17 Ultra Black + Benefit They're Real Mascara; Love these and they complement each other so much! Makes the perfect Falsh/Real Lash look.
Bourjois Smokey Eye Pallette; I used the black from this pallette to go over the blended eyeliner to give it more definition, just not as harsh as liner would have given.
Qianle Gel EyeLiner; Again I used this over the top of the blended MUA eyeliner to just give slightly more definition.

Cheeks + Lips:
Sleek Blush, Rose Gold; I use this on the apples and on my cheek bones. This gives you a nice glow which isnt too over powering.
Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub; In the winter I suffer from dry lips so I simple scrub off the dryness and then lick off the sugar because it just tates amazing!
Zam-Buk; Passed down in the female line of my family, this stuff will literally help anything, I use this under lipstick and when I go to bed to beat the dry chapped lips!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick, 457 Wild Orchid; This is a new purchase, I love the deep plum/red colours in winter, plus they go really well with my hair.

So that is everything I am wearing for the end of this year! If you're reading this, drop me a comment so I know you passed by. Have a good one,

This Week | End of 2013

So this week has been pretty boring for me, but next year hopefully things will start getting better. By better I mean, posts will be more regular, better formatted, etc. Basically it'll be a better read, but hey everything gets better with time right?

Must Watch of the Week: Definitely 2Guns. If you like action with a pretty decent storyline this film is for you. I absolutely loved the trailer and now I've just watched the film and I really enjoyed it. I like films that make me feel emotions, and I definitely felt adrenaline while watching this. Go watch!

Product of the Week: I haven't really tried anything new this week but I have been using the goodies from my Glossy Box and I have to say the Mabelline Brow Drama is perfect for me! It tames my unruly brow hair like a dream. I apply after filling them in and they stay in shape for the whole day, exactly what I want!

Youtube Video of the Week: There are two this week. There is this one from Emma Blackery, (here) this touched me a little bit. I even cried when she did cause I have felt like that and sometimes still do, even to this day. The second is a New Years make up tutorial by Jaclyn Hill, I'm not sure the whole look would work for myself but the eyes are just Incredible to Look at! See the video here

Naughty Thing of the Week: Not done anything naughty this week. I've been really good!

Song of the Week: There are a couple of songs in the charts that I am loving this week. Timber Feat. Ke$ha and Hey Brother are just beauts. I have them on my current playlist at the moment!

Food this Week: Courgette and Pesto Soup, homemade of course. I will be making this next week so I may post a little snippet of that!

Wishing For: A better year. This year hasnt been the best for me but these last two weeks things have really been looking up, I am just hoping that continues. Especially as I am 21 this year! Bring on the party!

Well that's all from me this week. See you soon

2013 My Year

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! Today's Post will be a review on my year. I have already done a bit of sale shopping on-line so will be posting that up when it arrives!

Best Memory: This has to be the weekend I spent in Alton Towers. We stayed in the splash landing hotel and had the whole first day in the water park before returning to the room to freshen up for dinner. Then I got treated to a lovely meal in the second Hotel on the complex in the Grecian Themed Restaurant before having a couple of drinks and listening to the singer. Then we spent the whole of the second day in the actual park where we waited THREE hours to get onto the new smiler ride, which was definitely worth it. To this day it will always be the best memory I have with someone no longer in my life but I'll always be able to remember the good times from it.
Then there is also the fact I now have two friends who will always be there for me whenever I need them. One is a new friend this year but we have both said how we never spend much time with anyone but we always manage to be content in each others company, I even stayed over there for 5 days and she didn't mind. Probably one of the few people in this world I can do that with. The other I've known since I was 16 and we have grown closer over the last four months and I seriously do not know what I would do without either of them now!

Worst Memory: Probably my breakup, but on the plus side if that hadn't happened I wouldnt be where I am now. The last few months havent exactly been anything to remember either so lets just hope the New Year brings something much better!

Song of the Year: Has to be a song by Taylor Swift. I absolutely adore her voice. I'd say my favourite song this year is still Red.

Wishing For: A better start to a new year. My new years parties are never good!

New Years Resolution: To let go of the things that I can't control. They've been and gone, let them be. Also to start and stick to a new exercise regime. Time to get fit and healthy so I can indulge on a dominoes once in a while!

All in all this year has had many ups and downs, seen many tears and laughs but I am a strong believer of everything happens for a reason even if we do not know what that reason is. I have so much to be thankful for whether they be good or bad things! Hope you all have a good start to the new year, preferably with a hangover to show for it, unless you are underage and then just enjoy your lie in!

I'm off to go see my family now, and spend the night up there before returning to work. Hope you all have a lovely time off for Christmas and if you're working, don't get too stressed or work too hard! After all it is the Holiday Season!

This Week

Hi Guys,
So this week I have decided to make this a regular feature! I will post every Sunday about my week and tell you a few favourites.

Must Watch of the Week: Dracula / Revenge. I have really gotten back into Revenge and found out that it isnt carrying on until march, super annoyed so there are only 8 episodes to watch. Dracula is becoming more gripping by every episode, I am like an excited child I just want to watch the next one now!

Product of the Week: This has to be hands down my Freederm spot cream. It works super fast at stopping spots becoming huge and vile. I have had a major breakout on my chin and this has helped me SO much, I love it. Have to thank my brother for introducing it to me about three years ago. I use the fast track one. I put it on over night and by the morning they're just little red bumps. Brilliant!

Youtube Video of the Week: Absolutely HAS to be Zoe Sugg's or Zoella's DIY Chocolate Orange Hot Cholocate video which you can see here. These taste amazing! I love chocolate orange but I had mine in a mug!

Naughty Thing of the Week: Forgot to eat my advent calender on the way so today I opened it up and ate them all!

Must Read of the Week: The last thing I read was Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore. I absolutely love this Graceling series. Fantasy stories are just perfect for my imagination. If you enjoy things like Legend of the Seeker, Lord of the Rings, Artemis Fowl etc. I would highly recommend you read this series. It starts with Fire, Graceling and then Bitterblue. I hope she writes more because I love love love these stories.

Song of the Week: This week i am loving the collab between Rihanna and Eminem. Their last song meant a lot to me and I can see this one will as well. Then of course as its December and the Christmas songs are allowed to be played again, Fairytale of New York and Step Into Christmas are also my favourites this week!

Food this Week: I have been to Frankie&Benny's and Pizza Hut this week. Got to love going out for food with friends, such a nice way to catch up and enjoy a cooked meal that you didn't have to slave over!

Wishing For: Christmas already! I'm not the most patient person and seeing all these wrapped pressents just makes me want to stick my claws into them. Excited is an understatement.

Well that's all from me this week!

Frankie & Benny's

Hi Guys,
So this is just a short little post about Frankie&Benny's. For those of you who don't know (not that there should be many) it is a food restaurant which is simply amazing. It's an American/Italian style restaurant which has a slight 50's theme and the food is mouth watering.

When I took my first trip to Frankie&Benny's I have to say I didn't enjoy it, but since coming back in recent years I have found the menu to have a range of dishes that I know love!

My Normal Order:
Firstly I would like to say I forgot to take pictures of my food, but I did get a photo of the main dish with and awesome face!
So as I am small I've found that my appetite is too so I tend to not eat as much as everyone else and there will always be food left on my plate due to the fact I eat with my eyes not the size of my belly. However, the two dishes I have are really filling and the taste is just unexplainable in words, it's that good! I eat two of the starters. I have the mama's Cheese Bake as an actual starter. This is really light as its just cheese in a netropolitan sauce with four small slices of garlic bread, perfect to start!
Then I have the Frankie's Calamari as a main because they're small and there is a lot of them and after both of these I am SO full.
Here is a photo of my Calamari looking like a squid, which just reminded me of a character in my favourite film, Davy Jones.

Glossy Box #1

After reading about the bella box which is done down under in Australia, I couldnt stop thinking about how much of a good idea it was and how much i wanted one. I tried to get the bella box delivered over in the UK but there was just no way of doing it. I was utterly gob smacked. However with a little bit of searching I stumbled onto Glossy Box.

The idea of Glossy Box and the Bella Box is so brilliant! It's such a good way to experience new beauty products without spending a lot of money. If you dont like something you dont have to use it and you havent spent a lot of money on it. If you do like a product you can purchase the product over and over again.

This said, I decided to purchase the 1 month subscription from Glossy Box and here is what I received;
So this is what the box looked like when I opened it. The packaging is beautiful!

The is what was inside! I have to say I was a little excited to open this as I've not had anything like this before

These two are definitely the favourites from the box. The colour of the nail varnish is just beautiful and thankfully I am getting my nails done saturday so this will probably be tested then! The brow drama is very interesting to me, not too sure how this is going to work out!

These two are definitely the ones I am more scpetical about and not loving this time. I tried the miracle balm the second i got it out the box and it felt like it put a kind of film over my hands and they felt really horrible. Not tried the lipgloss yet so will review it at a later date.

All in all I think this box has pro's and cons. No-one gets things perfect first time. Things can only get better, I hope! Let's see what the next box brings me.

Ciao Bella

This Week

Things I've bought: So I've done a little shopping this week. Spent far too much shopping so probably won't be doing another haul type thing for a while. But I did pop into boots to buy some lovely things. First I bought a couple of things from savers; Argan Oil for my hair which says it is similar to the Moroccan oil, thought I'd give that one a try and a scented candle, by skittles. It's currently burning as I type and it smells delish! I don't like strawberries but this just smells incredible. Then we went over to boots and bought a spot of makeup, which you can see in the pictures below.
I'll also list them for you; Rimmel Stay Blushed Blusher in pink, Bourjois healthy mix foundation, Rimmel wake me up conceler, Estee Lauder eye shadow duo in Raisins and the Bourjois healthy balance powder.

Deal of the week: If you're looking for some good products look no further then Bourjois. This week they are doing a deal where if you spend £15 or more and get a free gift worth £29! Yes, I definitely did this. And the free gift is totally worth it! You get a lipgloss, eye shadow pallette, nail varnish and mascara. Perfect for creating a whole look! See pictures below for my purchase from Bourjois, and the free gift you get with the deal! I can't wait to try them all out!

TV. This week: So as I've not been very will i have been coming home from work, making myself something to eat and watching TV. This isn't something I would usually do, as much as I love solitude, I do like to be a social butterfly so whenever I get the chance I will try and see someone! This, however, has led me to watch a couple of shows that my dad is really into so I thought I'd share these with you and tell you to go and watch Dracula on Sky One! This is an incredibly gripping show that tells a great story. Not going to do spoilers so you'll just have to go and watch it yourself!

Books: Now as I've always been a late bloomer everyone else my age and on the beauty scene will know a lot more than me, I still can't apply foundation correctly. So I thought I would treat myself to a little light reading and bought the Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual. Now I may be a late bloomer but I still know who is good in the make up world so I thought I would give this a read, as it's for beginners as well as professionals, I can't go wrong here! Will let you know once I've read it.

Added to my wishlist: Now as Christmas is coming up there isn't a lot I can really add to my wish list, however if someone wants to send me over some lucky charms I would love you forever.

Ciao Bella.

Review - Schwarzkopf Hair Dye

For someone who has been dying their hair since they were nine, choosing a brand it SUCH a big deal! There are so many brands to choose from and within those brands there will be at least two subs and four colours of whatever you choose. From dark blonde to barbie bleach blonde, from chocolate to brunette, from red to copper blonde, it doesn't matter what colour you want there will be a complete variety.

The latest hair dye I used recently to touch up my roots was from Schwarzkopf in Red Passion. It's a lovely colour and it's super super shiny but the dye itself was a total wash. It was really thick and you couldn't get all the product out of the bottle! Not to mention the conditioner was in a little plastic pouch, which is extremely hard to open if you're in the shower and have wet hair dye hands.

I am loving my hair colour don't get me wrong but because i couldn't get the product out of the  bottle my hair isn't all one colour. It also takes ages to wash out the dye before putting on the conditioner.

This review is short and sweet. It gives great colour but its not the best product, for me anyway.

Ciao Bella.

This Week I'm Loving - Awkward.

This week I have been a little TV show crazy! I'm watching all my usual obsessions Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Haven and Once Upon a Time but my best friend did the really stupid thing of sending me a link to a website to a show she was really into and thought I would like. introducing me into new TV shows, as if I need any more to occupy my time!

Now after working 8-9 hours a day, all I want to do in the evenings is eat, sleep and relax. Sometimes I do a bit of exercise but there is nothing that can beat lying down and becoming engrossed into a world of fiction. However there are always things to need to do first. I, for example, cook or make my lunch before I settle down so I can spend more time in bed before dragging myself up!

So Awkward. No, nothing is awkward, that's actually the name of the MTV TV show I am currently obsessing over. It's just brilliant at capturing your attention and taking your mind off other things. I would say it's for any girl. Literally if you're 16 or 66 you'll relate, either by thinking "this is happening to me now" or "I have lived through that, and now I smile and laugh".

The Summary - "Awkward" is about the specific incidents in our formative years that define us -sometimes for the best and sometimes for the worst. The show centres around fifteen-year-old Jenna Hamilton, who, like many, feels invisible to her peers and desperately wants to find her place--which is hard to do in a day and age where fitting in means standing out. Unfortunately, Jenna's visibility comes on the heels of an accident that gives her a not-so-fun stigma. And while the stigma of her accident could be the curse of her life, Jenna's determined to make it her life's blessing.

As you can see it's definitely centred around us girls and the things we go through in our teenage years. A must watch for any girl, no matter what age! In my opinion it's one of those TV shows that just allows you to think freely and relate parts of it to everyday events in the lives of us girls. I love the way it keeps you wanting more. I have been watching it non-stop for the past week! If you get a chance to watch a couple episodes do it because you'll be hooked. Also let me know if you think it's any good!

Gotta Run, Ciao Bella

Just Take a Hint

Now I don't know if this is just me. I don't know what it's like the other way round because I chased somebody once, fought for them and they still chose someone else, now they're engaged and having a baby. Yeah, that sucked. However, I've learnt my lesson and I don't chase anyone now. I'll give them chances but I don't chase. So why when people do chase and the other person is clearly not interested, why do they keep going?

Notice I used the word clearly. I'm the kind of person who says things how they are. I try not to beat around the bush because life is too short and there is just no point. If you like someone, all well and good, go for it. If they like you back, brilliant, if they don't, well better luck next time. One of the oldest sayings is "plenty more fish in the sea". This is true. People make a choice to be with someone because they love them, and if they don't love you there will be someone else out there who will. How long it will take to find them, well your guess is as good as mine.

So this guy has been messaging me for about two years now I think, could be way off. Definitely so long I can't remember when we met. He asks to see me, I say no because I'm either busy or not interested and he'll say something rude back to me. Now I am by no means an expert at these things, in fact I get things wrong most of the time when it comes to matters of the heart, but surely if you think someone is perfect (their words, definitely not mine) being rude to them is not the best way to get them to meet up with you. Or am I just being crazy?

There's this phrase "treat them mean, keep them keen" but in my experience this only works 50% of the time, as in only on one side. Usually the side that isn't interested. I'm genuinely not interested in this person and sometimes I feel I have to be cruel to be kind, so why is he still trying? Don't get me wrong he is a lovely guy, probably a good friend and a great laugh, it's nice to see him if I am on a night out, but would I want to "hang out" with them? Probably not, sorry if you're reading this!

Well that's my ramble for the day!
If you have experiences you'd like to share, send them over!

Ciao Bella

Favourites | 5 Favourite Songs

Ever since I was a dancer I have always loved songs that make you want to get up and dance. This song does just that. I feel it makes you get together with people you know, love, and have just met and just sing and dance (or rock and flail your arms about). The beat just makes me smile and this song always puts me in such a happy mood! Each time I hear this song I literally want to grab someone and dance!

Again this is a song that just makes me happy. It also makes me think of a certain person who I share some incredible memories with. Unfortunately they are no longer in my life but they impacted it in the most effective way. I wouldn't be doing half the things I am now if they hadn't come into my life and changed it. Without them I wouldn't be the person I am today and even though I am sad they are not in my life I thank them for all the things they taught me and the memories I now have. Some of them are sad, but most of them are happy. Always remember the good times. "No Reason Too Repent". Other songs I enjoy by Bastille are These Streets, Bad Blood and Daniel in the Den.

This is such a beautiful song. It's quite sad if you listen to the lyrics but its so beautifully written and sung it is just simple brilliant. It's talks about life, the beauty as well as the horrors. No more words to describe this, just give it a listen.

This song is actually the only song that has the power to still make me cry every time I listen to it. If I ever sing this song I change some of the words to adapt to my life but its basically me in a nutshell. Especially the second verse. I was bullied throughout secondary school (or high school if you're reading this in America). I don't know why, maybe I was an easy target because I get emotional very easily, or maybe they just didn't like me. Either way it doesn't matter now, this song is very close to my heart and it can still tug those heart strings of mine. I love every single word of this song and it will forever be my song.

1. So this was always going to be difficult for me because I just love music so I am picking three. I'm going to have an old song, a new song and one from in the middle! My favourite song changes all the time which is why it is really hard to choose just one, however these songs I could literally listen to on repeat and never ever get bored.

This song is just brilliant, and it's nice to hear the boys singing for a change. I was alos so happy by the performance by Christine Baranski in Mamma Mia the movie, which is a brilliant musical in itself. This song has been in my life since it started because my mum is a huge ABBA fan and I can see why. They were incredible! For the Mamma Mia version click there > Mamma Mia - Does Your Mother Know

I'm not even remotely ashamed to admit I love this song. Don't judge. She's quite good when she sings and not rap.

This has to be my favourite musical i've ever watched. I even enjoyed the second one but this song just touched my heart. Plus Gerad Butler is ridiculously attractive with half a mask on and his voice is heavenly. I hope all you girls out there enjoy this as much as I do! But for any boys, the girls dressed in very little so you'll enjoy it too!

Other songs you should listen to are Blurred Lines - Robin Thicke, What Does The Fox Say - Ylves and That Don't Impress Me Much - Shania Twain.
