To Be or Not To Be | University

Photo from http://wwp.university-uk.com
There have been loads of videos and blog posts on university about people who have or haven’t gone and offering advice to those in need. I’ve read a couple, watched a few and I’ve finally thought – I should share my experience too.

Monthly Round Up | Books and TV

This month has flown by and I had completely forgotten what I had read in the beginning of the month! I honestly don't know where the year is going! Need to knuckle down I think.

This month hasn't been good for reading, I've not read as many books as I had hoped, but I do have a few days left of the month!

5 Disappointing Products

I know some of you have probably looked at the picture and thought - what the hell? I love those products - but not everyone has the same opinion. These are just products that I feel do not work with my body/face and this post is to tell you the reasons why.

Under Inspection | Soap And Glory Puffy Eye Attack

It Claims: Loaded with anti-dark circle and anti-puff BOTANICAL PEPTIDES, detoxifying OXYGINSENG™ TECHNOLOGY, HYPER HYDRATORS and COOL-CUCUMBER-X™, Soap & Glory™ Puffy Eye Attack™ is a fast-acting, de-bloating, skin-firming, collagen-boosting GENIUS IN A JAR!
  • Tackles dark circles and puff
  • Firms, tones, rehydrates
  • Boosts collagen production
  • Helps kick-start stagnant undereye circulation
  • Cools, soothes and moisturises
  • Perfectly balanced for all skin types

Pro's: Light
          No Smell
          Easy to apply

Con's: Leaves a residue under the eyes after drying
           Doesn't tackle dark circles

My Thoughts: I love Soap and Glory products but this one is definitely a flop for me. I bought this because it claims to tackle dark circles will I've used this for a couple months now and my dark circles are still there. Not even faded a little! I get enough sleep, I work out and I don't stay up late regularly so surely these should have been depleted by now?

It's such a good product and I have seen a difference in the firmness around my eyes along with the skin being a lot smoother. It's also very cooling and relaxing on the skin.

I would give this a 3/5 purely because it didn't work on my eyes. Don't let this put you off, it worked it all other areas for me! Least give it a try

Have you tried this? Let me know what you thought!

Make Up Look | Bright Eyes

Disclaimer: My friend is amazing and she's a make-up artist. This post is to show you a look we created not a tutorial on how to do this. Yes that is an instagram filter on the above photo.

Bright eyes have never been my thing. I have always heard that certain colours look better for certain eyes. While that's true my make up artist friend believes you can suit any colour as long as it is applied in the right way.

Nostalgia | Dancing Days

Hi Everyone,

So today I’m writing a lifestyle/personal post again, sorry not sorry.

One of my good friends goes to a dance class on a Tuesday and while we have become closer and I hear all about it, it really does make me miss the days when I used to dance. Along with the likes of Step Up and Strictly my nostalgia has been growing quite a bit so I thought it was time to reminisce the good memories I have from dancing, share some pictures and convince myself that I need to stop being so lazy and go find a Zumba class – if you know of any in the Somerset area drop me a comment!

#ProjectBareAll

I believe this was created by Megan from Thumbelina Lillie but it found it's way to me through Kirstie from A Yellow Brick Blog.  You can find their posts here for Megan and here for Kirstie, so go and check them out.

I have been seeing a lot of people do this post, and I thought maybe I should give it a go too. I'm not your typical make-up junkie, I love it, I covet it but putting it on is one of life's chores for me! So here's me in my fresh faced glory for the entire internet to see.

#nofilter

I'm a lazy girl at heart, although I am trying to change that [which you'll find out soon], and getting up early just to put a full face of make-up on is not on the cards for me. If I could find something to do the same thing in half the time - perfect. I spend about 5-10 minutes on hair and make-up before I go to work!

MEGA Book Haul

Recently I've been reading a lot, even contemplating starting book tube - let me know what you think - and so I bought myself some books. However, as you can see from above, I seem to have gone a little overboard.

Films I Want To Watch This Month | July

How it is August already I don't know. Christmas will be here before we know it at this rate.

The weather has been vile today. Rain coming down like it's trying to flood us again - don't worry I'm safe - but it hasn't affected the internet yet so I'm trying to get this out before it dies.

This month I want to see at the cinema the following films:

Step up all in: I love (miss) dancing and these films always fill me with happiness so this will definitely be a must see.
