BLOGMAS: Book Review | Four A Divergent Collection by Veronica Roth

By now everyone should have read or seen Divergent - if you haven't you really should because these stories are incredible. There are, as in all books, sections of both the film and the books that I dislike but thats for another blog post.

I had said I wasn't going to get this book purely because I didn't think it was necessary but boy was i wrong!

Product Description (from goodreads.com): Two years before Beatrice Prior made her choice, the sixteen-year-old son of Abnegation’s faction leader did the same. Tobias’s transfer to Dauntless is a chance to begin again. Here, he will not be called the name his parents gave him. Here, he will not let fear turn him into a cowering child. Newly christened “Four,” he discovers during initiation that he will succeed in Dauntless. Initiation is only the beginning, though; Four must claim his place in the Dauntless hierarchy. His decisions will affect future initiates as well as uncover secrets that could threaten his own future—and the future of the entire faction system.

Pro's: Four's POV
            More Information
           Not too long

Con's: Eric

My Thoughts: I love this as an addition to the divergent trilogy. It gives you insight into how Four became like he is and how his relationship with Eric grew, as well as what it stems from. Although they were short, and yes I would have liked them to be longer, these stories really give you a nice background for the entire divergent trilogy.

The three scenes from Divergent, re-written in Four's perspective, were also very insightful and a delgiht to read. If you are a fan of the series you'll definitely want to g and get your hands on this little gem.

Have you read it? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
